Dear Innovative Leader
Next Decade is Innovation Decade. You need to be "Glocal" Leader for our survival. We all need to develop Global Leadership (Dukeship) with Local innovation(Srujana)-
Write your Product Idea/Innovation. You need to justify your idea/innovation using PESTEL Methodology- (Political, Economical, Social& Cultural, Technological, Environmental and Legal). I request every student should come forward with some idea/innovation/business thought.
a. Ground Rules for Product Ideas/Innovations
b. Idea/Innovation should be original and owned. Tomorrow, we should able to promote these ideas
c. Idea/Innovation should qualified to be simple, clear, concise, meaningful to the society, grassroots level, help in productivity, least investment & can be done in College/school/organization itself with minimal support.
d. They can be simple business/system software/mechanical device/energy devise/chemical product/solving simple business problem/Consulting Problem/combination of all streams. They should be done out of campus and teams should be part of same college/organization.e. They can be prototyped in 2-3 years time.
Wishing you Tommorow's Innovative Leader
Thanks and Regards

Hi Ravi, congrats on coming up with this. An open thought process will lead to creative thinking and thereby lead to innovation. Unfortunately, in Indian schools and colleges except for IITs, IIMs and few other institutions, the educational system supports reproduction of memorized concepts, this is leading students to always think within the constraints of their textbooks or curriculum. Still, there are lot of students and young people bursting with energy and new thoughts, but unfortunately, those thoughts and energy are not being channelled in right direction, infact, for most part, they are not being channelled in any direction. We have to provide a sustainable platform that helps these young thoughts to be taken forward in right direction. Thank you for taking the first step towards this. Now, let us start thinking about how to provide our young men and women a sustainable platform through which they can innovate and lead. Maybe we can start working with educational institutions to gather ideas from students on a regular basis. We setup a panel of learned people who evaluate these ideas and provide guidance to take those ideas forward. Gotta go... will blog u more later... Ganesh

Hi Mr. Ravi,
Nice initiative. I also read your comments on Swami's Blog. The idea "rebuild your city" is quite interesting. The same can be extended to villages "rebuild your village". Even to start with we can take a locality, "rebuild your locality". There are few basic points that are going to be major issues for cities.
- waste disposal, I feel this must be tackled by locals, Here we require innovations
- play area for all age (3-70) of children
- cycling tracks in locality

Gagan
